Today’s Spotlight: Summer Soundtracks

Updated: Aug 30, 2023

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Welcome to the new edition of the OTC Blog.

In 1937 Walt Disney released the classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Do you know that was the first commercial movie to ever release a soundtrack?

Music in movies takes us to a whole different level of entertainment. Think about the feelings you get when your favorite song from a film comes on the radio. Personally, I sing along way to loud, dance like no one is watching and on occasion curl up with some popcorn and watch the film.

I thought it would be fun to list our top ten favorite soundtrack songs.

Rachel:

  1. I Need a Hero- Shrek 2

  2. Come and Get Your Love- Guardians of the Galaxy

  3. Eye of the Tiger- Rocky

  4. Danger Zone-Top Gun

  5. This is Me -Greatest Showman

  6. Rewrite the Stars- Greatest Showman

  7. The Chain-Guardians of the Galaxy 2

  8. The Time of Your Life-Dirty Dancing

  9. Lose Yourself- 8 Mile

  10. My Heart Will Go On- Titanic

AnnMarie

  1. Let's Go Crazy- Purple Rain

  2. A View to a Kill-A View to a Kill

  3. Power of Love- Back to the Future

  4. You're the One That I Want- Grease

  5. Shallow- A Star is Born

  6. Fame-Fame

  7. I Will Always Love You- The Bodyguard

  8. Don't You (Forget About Me)-Breakfast Club

  9. Stayin Alive- Saturday Night Fever

  10. Maniac-Flashdance

So, what songs make your list?

Until next time!

Much love,

AnnMarie and Rachel
